If you can't use lingonberry leaves, boxwood is a good alternative. (You can get it at most flower shops). Or choose your own greenery: ask the florist to suggest something that won't wilt. Cut the boxwood into 3- to 6-inch pieces.

Cut wire to fit crown, plus two inches for overlap.
attach boxwood to wire, using additional wire or strong thread.
